Once again I'm looking to make a quick trip over to Ireland for a big swell coming in. Unfortunately the wind looks like it's going to blow it out again, but it's time to escape the big city of London again.
I've got to do a couple of buys soon, get a wide angle lens for the HV20 and then send it off to California to get the SPL Water Housing custom made for the camera.
With that done, and the new wet suit from O'Neill, it's time to get out on the ski's and get some great shots!
Once in a lifetime journey beginning and ending in Darwin..... but actually still hasn not ended. In between has been Brisbane, Sydney, Hawaii, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Baja California, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Miami, New York, Dublin, Cardiff, Italy, Amsterdam, Spain, Portugal, France, and the UK. Thousands of adventures to come......

Big Swell in Ireland
The swell has been hitting Ireland bigger and more consistent over the past few days, and on tuesday there looks to be a 8 - 15 meter swell hitting around Mullaghmore and Bundoran. Fingers crossed the wind holds off and Big Al and Cotty get out amongst it.

Filming Ruth Theodore
Alright..... I'm happy to admit it.
I've been spending a lot of time in London recently and there's not much 'surfing' to speak of at the moment.
Luckily things have begun to turn around in terms of getting back into the filming side of life though. While work is always busy, who's isn't, it can produce opportunities.
One of our contractors, James Hurst, who runs http://www.riverratrecords.com/ asked me a few weeks ago if I could film a gig for one of his brightest artists in Ruth Theodore.
The gig was on tonight at the Monkey something or other near camden town, a great small venue with a very laid back chilled acoustic vibe. I filmed with my two cameras with me on one and Geoffroy (another guy from work who is studying film at university) on the other.
Ruth reminded me very much of Rosie Burgess from back home, and was equally laid back when we chatted after the gig.
I'm not sure how the footage turned out just yet, but once we have a chance to capture and run through it I'll be sure to put some up here for everyone to listen and see.
On the surfing side of things, I had a trial run of looking at dropping work and booking flights to the Canary Islands (which I only found out the location of this morning). If there looks to be a good enough swell over there in the next few weeks I'm heading off to do a little bit of filming... and hopefully continue to build the great stuff I've already managed to snag while I've been in the UK.
For now, I'm off to bed. I missed a tube by 7 minutes and it was the difference between getting home at a reasonable time, and getting home at 2am.
Night all!
Oh, and for all those that I used to have long winded arguments/discussions with back home regarding politics, human rights, religion and so on I have another post coming up after catching up with an old high school friend. It's going to be on sweatshops....... try and work out what my position will be and why......

Surfing Around Irleand for St Pat's Day
I'm sitting here in the kitchen listening to my flat mate Lauren go on about how she's not coming up on Google searches, and when she does...... well lets just say that there not pictures to send home to Mum and Dad.
We've started planning our trip around the coast of Ireland for a 10 day Wicked Camper Adventure between the 14th - 24th March.
The plan is to fly in to Belfast, pick up the cars in the morning and haul ass over to Bundoran and spend Saturday night. From there it's off to Galway for St Patrick's Day, and from there we'll head down to Limerick, Tralee, Kilarney, Cork, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Kildare, Dublin, Monaghan, Donegal, Londonderry across to to Ballycastle and then back to Belfast
Phew, seems like a lot of places to visit!
Hopefully there'll be a bit of swell around and we get a chance to get some more great waves on film!
There'll be tonnes of fun footage to go with the trip as well, so I'll be sure to post it up as we travel around.
